Online Course FTP Folders

All files uploaded to your course’s FTP folder will be permanently deleted 10 days after your course has ended. You are responsible for creating backups of all of your work.

Example:

The last day of your course is March 1, 2005; on March 12, 2005, all of the files will be permanently deleted.

AOL: Technical Information

If you are an AOL user and you cannot connect to your course FTP folder using any of the other methods, please follow these steps:

  • If you are using AOL, please use the below link for help in connecting to your course FTP folder:
    http://www.server101.com/support/aolftp.php3

    *This link is being provided strictly for the convenience of our students and faculty, and we can assume no liability for its use.
  • Enter the following information in the appropriate fields:
    • Site Address: 65.36.243.3
    • Login Name: ftptest
    • Password: test123abc

    * The above example is for testing only, this is NOT your course folder. Any files that are uploaded to the test area are subject to deletion without any prior notification.

When you try to connect to your course FTP folder, you will have to substitute a couple of the above values:

Substitute ftptest with the LOGIN you where given for your course FTP folder

Substitute test123abc with the PASSWORD you where given for your course FTP folder

When you want to see the files in your course FTP folder, you will have to substitute the last part of the above URL:

Substitute ftptest with the LOGIN you where given for the FTP folder, followed by any other sub-directories.

Example:

If the LOGIN for your course FTP folder is: eng101f02b and your files are located in a sub-directory called john_doe , the full URL you would use is:

http://www.studentprojectarea.com/eng101f02b/john_doe
